We're a small team — for now 2 full-time and a few part-time collaborators — building the online marketplace Moldova deserves. If you want to join, read below.

How we work

  • Remote-first — the team is distributed (Chișinău, Bălți, occasionally abroad). We meet in person once a month at a common office in Chișinău.
  • Zero micromanagement. We give context, you have a free hand. We review results, not screenshots.
  • Transparency by default. Numbers, decision logs, post-mortems — all in shared docs, accessible to everyone.
  • Fair pay. Salaries above market for your position + annual bonus.

Open positions

No openly-listed jobs right now, but we always look for ambitious people in:

  • Product Designer — UI/UX for the marketplace, special interest in editorial design and typography.
  • Full-stack Engineer — TypeScript, Next.js, Supabase, Postgres. You feel at home in edge functions and RLS policies.
  • AI / ML Engineer — experience with LLM workflows, embeddings, applied prompt engineering. Bonus: you've worked with the Anthropic or OpenAI API at scale.
  • Community Manager — moderation, user feedback, blog writing. Native Romanian with diacritics, conversational Russian, professional English.
  • Sales / Partnerships — for Pro clients (shops, real estate agencies, car dealers).

How to apply

  • A short description (2-3 paragraphs) — who you are, what excites you.
  • A link (GitHub, portfolio, LinkedIn, an article you wrote).
  • A concrete answer to: "What would you change first on bănuț.md if you joined tomorrow?" No need to be right — we want to see how you think.

We read every email. No formal CV required. If what you write resonates, we invite you to a 45-min conversation within a week.

Part-time collaborators & freelancers

We always need photographers for editorial banners, ru/en translators, illustrators for the blog. If you have a portfolio, write to the same address with [collab] in the subject line.

Why bănuț.md

We're building a platform that will serve millions of searches per month within a few years — for real people, in our country. We're not a tech giant, but we're not a PowerPoint startup either: we have users, we have code in production, and we have a plan. Come help us.
